Amy has been teaching puppy classes for over 14 years. She has a Certificate IV in Dog Training and Behaviour through NDTF and has specialised in Puppy Classes through Steve and Vicki Austin
Amy's Training Philosophy
Always try to set your puppy up for success. Avoid failures. My training technique is a combination of rewarding correct behaviour and preventing undesired behaviours from being successful or rewarding in any way. We promote management, and crate training as soon as your puppy arrives home. If you can get it right in the first 48 hours you will prevent many behavioural issues.
Socialisation and early basic training is the key to success with your new puppy. Puppies develop their social skills between the ages of 8-16 weeks. Puppy PreSchool is designed to use this window period in your puppy's life to ensure he/she becomes a polite, well behaved and well socialised dog.
